THE ROLE:
As Bar Supervisor you will oversee and ensure smooth running of the venue, whilst delivering great bar service. Support management with events, bookings and beer festivals where necessary and to oversee staff on shift when required by management. We’re very passionate about our craft, it is very important to us that you share a passion for great hospitality, going above and beyond to deliver the best beer experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To maintain a high level of professionalism over the bar and in all correspondence
- To work with the management team to drive up bar standards and ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum
- To be knowledgeable and passionate about our product range and ensure customers receive a high standard of customer service
- To maintain a high level of organisation and cleanliness in the venue and ensure all tasks are up to date using daily/weekly logs.
- Assist in the maintenance and development of the venue when requested
- Assist with other areas of the venue as requested
- To reply to messages on social media professionally and promptly if required by management
- To be the first point of contact for staff during shifts and manage staff to ensure time is being used effectively
- To take responsibility for bar service whenever required by management.
- To take sole responsibility for shifts as and when required by management including site security and emergency situations
- Always create a safe environment for staff and customers
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws
- Attend and contribute to team meetings when required and share best practice with the team
- Always make a concerted effort to represent the values and ethos of the company
- To assist with effective Cellar Management
- To take charge of deliveries & ensure safe practices
- Provide consistent and accurate updates or handovers to line manager regarding all areas of work
- Possess a positive attitude to a busy work environment and a willingness to work long or flexible hours when required
- Contribute to a team effort by completing other tasks as needed
